Space Ghosts
Here's a song I wrote.
A forty-four key. For my birthday. Got everything I ever wanted and I threw it in the trash. A forty-four gauge, In front of my face, Just for trying to sneak and steal my ship right back. I made a big mess. Then I took a long rest. Have no idea where I am now and thank god for that. Fight, fight the cognitive dissonance. Avoid dope boys and dissidents. Become the patron saint of whatever's on sale this week. Another sunrise. It isn't a surprise. Am I dreaming or am I awake? I can't keep track. Abyssal specter. Angle and vector. Gotta get back down to terra firma intact. Fight, fight the cognitive dissonance. Avoid dope boys and dissidents. Become the patron saint of whatever's on sale this week. Because we're lost in space but glad we made it. And we're sorry we're late but time dilated. And if that sounds like an excuse you can do the math.
This song was written in the throes of recovery from some very dangerous addictions around 2018 and reworked and re-recorded within the past few days with what I have at home. Most of the songs I have written in the past were never recorded satisfactorily and while this is not nearly as professional as I would like, it is an enormous improvement and a good way to get my feet wet making music again. Hope you enjoy.

I’m super into the tones in this. The title and the tone are really well suited. The wobble and almost doubled up/dissonant tones are very on point for how I was feeling when I first got sober, hits the recovery nail on the head for me. 🔨
